Dear Parents/Carers,
We're excited to announce our Christmas activities in the run up to our last day of term - Thursday 18th December 2025.
We start with Saturday 29th November and our Christmas Fayre, our doors open at 10.30 am and we have a whole host of stalls, refreshments and of course Father Christmas. We look forward to seeing you all.
W/C 1st December 2025
- We will be launching our Christmas Door Decorating competition as well as a daily advent quiz
- Tuesday 2nd December PD Day.
W/C 8th December
- We will be launching Stealth Elf in our form groups.
- In the morning not only will we be serving hot chocolate but there will be Christmas music and Carols in the canteen till 08.:20am.
- Thursday 11th December - Winter showcase in the Drama theatre at 2.30pm for students. 50p entry.
- Friday 12th December it's the annual Christmas Jumper Day.
To spread some festive cheer, we encourage your child to come to school dressed in their favourite Christmas jumper. It's a great opportunity to embrace the holiday spirit and have some fun with their classmates. Please note:
Students should wear a full school uniform, excluding the blazer, if they are wearing a Christmas jumper.
Donations are welcome to support Save the Children. Students can wear a Christmas jumper in exchange for a £1 donation or a food item to contribute towards the Atherton & Leigh food bank that we are collecting for this year.
W/C 15th December
- Monday 15th December our choir will be performing in Wigan town centre.
- Tuesday 16th December our choir will be visiting the local care homes and Year 7 will attend a Christmas service at church.
- Wednesday 17th December Christmas Lunch will be available to purchase for £2.87 (using ipay account), this includes a turkey roast with all the trimmings, drink and mince pie or cookie, there will also be normal menu available for those who do not want Christmas lunch.
- Thursday 18th December - Christmas Jumpers with boppers, ACE Celebrations.
We look forward to seeing everyone's festive attire and enjoying the last 3 weeks of term with some Christmas cheer!
