Dear Parent/Carer,

As we come to the end of this academic year and get ready for the next, we are pleased to share with you our Reading Learning Journey, which shows all the books your child will be studying at the school next year. You will find this on the academy website, under the purple tab labelled Reading Journey, as shown below or via this link: Reading Learning Journey (PDF).pdf

If you click on the hyperlink surrounding each book, you will find a presentation giving you a summary of the text, as well as links to purchase the book yourself if you would like to do so. The school library also has copies of many of these texts, should your child wish to borrow them.

A student’s reading age has such an impact on their ability to access the full curriculum and their outcomes at school; we want to offer every opportunity to ensure that they are successful with this. We hope this will enable you to support your child’s reading journey and prepare them for the coming year.
